From a home consulting business to manufacturing to tourism, there are always steps to take to make sure you do it right.
The best place to start is by downloading the Business Resource Guide. Then take a look at some of the other sites we've linked for you; they're full of information for success and the rules and regulations your particular type of business may have to follow.
Looking for a business location? Try the interactive ERC Business ReLocator mapping service. (Download an informative leaflet at the link further down this page.)
NOTE: there is no general "business license" required for the unincorporated areas of Nevada County. However, the cities within the County may require such a permit. In addition, certain types of businesses may have to obtain permits or meet specific regulations. The Business Resource Guide is the best place to start.
